Jun. 7th, 2019 04:22 pm CHARACTER NAME: Aleifr Bjornsson
CHARACTER SERIES: Warhammer 40,000 (Tabletop OC)
[OOC]
Backtagging: Sure!
Threadhopping: I'll usually be fine with it, just ask first.
Fourthwalling: I'm not completely opposed to it, but I'd definitely prefer being asked first. In either case, he'll be fucking baffled by it.
[IC]
Hugging this character: He won't reciprocate unless he likes someone but, unless he dislikes someone, he probably won't stop you.
Kissing this character: If the CR is leaning in that direction, go right ahead.
Flirting with this character: Yeah, by all means, he'll probably reciprocate
Fighting with this character: He's from Fenris, shit happens. Probably won't go well for his opponent, but I'm definitely down for this.
Injuring this character: As I said before, he's from Fenris, shit happens. I would prefer to discuss any serious bodily harm, though.
Killing this character: Let's talk about this one first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Another one I'd prefer to talk about first, but odds are, I'll be okay with it. He won't much like it, though.
Warnings/Opt-Out:
A quick word about Warhammer 40,000 as a setting ... it's basically the worst place you can possibly imagine, and there's some corner of the universe for every conceivable bad thing. Constant wars of annihilation against hostile alien powers and literal dark gods has slowly turned humanity into a violently xenophobic empire run by theocratic fascists, and they're allegedly the "good guys" -- and I put that in quotes because there's pretty much no faction within the universe that you can call a good guy without placing several massive asterisks next to that.
Aleifr, however, is from Fenris. The average Fenrisian doesn't see technology more advanced than crucible steel in the span of their entire life, so they're just about as far removed from the larger galaxy as you possibly can be. To them, the Emperor of Mankind is a heavily mythologized Allfather, Space Marines are Sky Warriors, and anything that might linger among the stars is the stuff of legends. They generally don't have the same fear of aliens, mutants, and psychics that the rest of mankind does because they either don't encounter it, or they have a culturally different understanding of it. Basically, unless their cultural mythos or a respected shaman tells them that something is evil, they're more likely to regard it with guarded curiosity than they are to grab torches and pitchforks.
If you'd like to opt-out of any particular thread, or Warhammer in general, let me know.
